Scott Township was founded in 1828 and was formed formed from Clark and Franklin townships.

The year New hope a small village in Scott township is not know. Daniel Holloway and Lawrence Rose where believed to be  the first settlers in the area

The year White Oak valley was formed is also isnt know  But the first mill  here was thought to have been built in 1835

Walbsburg named  in Honor of Peter Wahl was founded in the 1840s
